"The Script" - Updates from the Community Players Board

“The more you know, the more you know…”

“The Adventures of Santa Claus” was a great “adventure” in giving back to the community! Thanks to the hard work of Will Buros, Community Players was able to donate $190 dollars and 538 food items to the food pantry, $200 to the Salvation Army and $200 to the Performing Arts Council.  Thanks to everyone who helped out!  It is hoped that this will become a Christmas tradition.


Even as work starts on the new summer production, final figures were made available for last summer’s production of “Annie”.  Based on the income realized, a donation of $1000 was made to the Corey Bobb Scholarship Fund.  And the time is near now for applications for this year’s scholarship to start pouring in.  Remember, this is $500 given to a student majoring in some form of theater.


“The Sound of Music” will echo around the hills of Richland Center this summer!  Heather Simonson will direct this wonderful musical with auditions to be held in May prior to Memorial Day weekend.  Stay tuned for further information on the auditions.  Anyone wishing to participate in the production in any way should contact co-producers Dave Turk or Will Buros. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 


The Veteran’s Talent Show will be help on February 18 at 7PM so please support this very worthwhile cause and come to enjoy the show.
